Advice for the Gr 6s
Don’t be afraid about the amount of work or the difficulty of it. As long as you pay attention you will get the concept of it and you will be able to finish it in no time at all. But if you do struggle then just ask the teacher for extra help and come in early. You should also join lots of sports and activity’s if possible because they can be lots of fun and you will become more athletic if you are not already. Do your home work because you will get tallies and that is not good to get because you will miss out on really fun games and activity’s if you strikeout. Don’t be afraid ask for help from your peers either because they can be lots of help. This really helped me because when I didn’t understand something or didn’t know how to spell something I will just ask them for help. Try to sit by someone who will not bother you and distract you and if you do get stuck with that person and you cant concentrate just ask the teacher to switch seats with someone.

To This Day
We have just recently watched “To This Day” by Shane Kocyczan. It was about bullying and had a quote that said “If you cant find anything beautiful about yourself, get a better, mirror, look a little closer, stare a little longer”.
I have been bullied a little but I just block their words with courage and motivation. I knew they were wrong.
I had a connection to when he stated about “Every school has an arsenal of names getting updated every year”. I connected to this because I have seen people get called names every day.
There was a sentence that really stuck with me. It said, ”You would bring bruises and broken teeth to show and tell but never told them how you got them.” It sticks to me because it was really powerful.
I have seen bullying all the time and it’s not good. I don’t understand why kids tease and call people names. All it does is make the other person sad and angry.
There is no reason for bullying.
There was one really good lesson I have learned in this video it was don’t say something just because you want to be cool.

I wake up with my hair messed up and I am cranky. When I get up stairs my dad says "lets go to best buy". "Ok" I say back. I have saved a lot of money for my own mini iPad it looked so cool so I wanted to get it.
When we get there, there is no line ups. I look for were the mini iPads are and my dad is already there. We ask for a mini iPad at the dest and it came up to $370 dollars I was shocked that it costed so much. I paid all I could and I was really close but my dad had to pay a little to help but at the end I got my iPad. I had to charge it fully but was already full so I wanted to use it right away but we had a party and I didn't want anyone to steal it so I hid it and had a party like every else. At the end of it I asked my dad if I could use and he finally said yes. He asked all the questions on the little quiz. He started to play it without me noticing and he gave it to me when i cant him red handed. I couldn't wait to get all the games I couldn't get with my other iPod. That was my big
Castle fun park was really fun. We got to do everything. There was firing range, bumper cars, go carts, typhoon, bating cage,golf, and mini golf. We also got 6 dollars to spend on games and such. I felt like I was the first one to finish all my fun on the card because a lot of people brought extra money for extra play time but I forgot to bring some so I had to have fun with what I got. I did every thing I could on my card so there was no more money left on it. At the end I cashed in my tickets and got a plastic frog and an air head witch kind of suck because all the other people got bigger prizes but I was fine with what I got. When it was time to go my driver said to wait out side so we did and we didn't here an announcement calling for us and we got in trouble. But it was the best field trip ever.
This weekend we when t to a Christmas markets and it was an ok trip. There were big line-ups everywhere we when t event to get to the bathroom there were line-ups. It was really chaotic but fun most of the time. We got to eat lot of treats and German food. There was a big line up for a little thing it was ridicules. We also when t on a Mary go round that when t really slow. When we were heading back my mom had to go to the washroom so we stopped at a mic Donald's and there was a hobo on the side of it. So my friend and me decided to count all the hobos we could fined and we found 5 of them. On the way back almost every body fell asleep because my dad turned on the heater in the van witch mad it just the right temperature to sleep in. when we got home my friends family had to go home so they did. That was my trip to the Christmas market
My family doesn't really do anything special but I will tell you what does happen. We can't get up or out of our room until 7:00 or we get in trouble. Then we can go down stairs and open our stockings but not the presents until we all get up and have breakfast with all are family and they all have to finish there plates. Then the kitchen has to be cleaned then we can finally open the presents. My sister always goes first to open the first present then we just go back and forth until there is no more presents. They also take a lot of photos when we are opening are presents. The adults don't really get any thing because there adults they don't really receive them from santa but they get some from other parents witch is good. We also have a big dinner with the whole family at the end of the day. That is how my family celebrates Christmas day.
One time my friend and i when to a park and it was a forest and we ran ahead of our parents. We wanted to beet them so we ran far ahead to the parking lot. My friend knows the place well so he found a short cut to the parking lot. So we took the path all the way there and waited for our parents to come eventually and see us there. We waited for a long time. Some random person come up and asked if we wanted to call the and I said we are just waiting for them and she said ok and walked on. Then we started to hear something yelling then they got closer and it was our parents calling for us and we ran up to them and asked why are you yelling and they said they were worried sick that they lost us. Then they said never to run ahead ever again.
My best moment was when I got my own xbox 360. I woke up and it was boxing day. I asked my mom if we can go shopping and she said to go ask my dad. So I did and he said there would be lots of line ups and I said it didn't care because I just wanted to go shopping no matter what. When we got there, there was no line up so I ran right in and saw what I could by with my money. I finally stopped and had to chose what I wanted because I cant buy all of them. Then the xbox caught my attention and I wanted to get it. When I got out of the store I felt like a king of electronics in my house. On the way home I asked my dad if he could plug my xbox so I could play it but he said no and I got mad so I did it my self and played my xbox. The next day I was in a whole new life.
My week end was ok i guess because I wet to a party that i didn't really like and i babysat my cousins until midnight. But i got $50 bucks i felt like a sleepy rich person. The next day i slept almost the whole day it was really weird waking up late in the afternoon. My dad slept a lot to because he came and help at 10 o clock and he was sleeping half the time and i started awake. Well this is basicly my weekend.
"Ding ding", goes the bell to let us know that school is over and that means we get to have a 4 day weekend because it is a PRO-d day on friday and a holiday on monday. On friday we went to a movie called reck-it-ralph. It was about a guy that is named Ralph and he is mad because he gets thrown of the edge of a building and is treated like trash. Then he is trying to get a medal to prove that is not the bad guy. On saturday I went out and played out side with my friends and it was really cold. It was so cold that my parents told me to get some food out of the freezer and when I put my arm in the freezer it felt room tempter to me it was really funny and cool. On sunday we when to a walk in a park and we went to a race track and I ran 3 laps around it and I got a treat for it. On monday I played halo 4 most of the day and when out for dinner.
